Armed robbery reported on LaSalle Avenue
A 38-year-old LaSalle Avenue man told police he was robbed at gunpoint by four masked men about 11:30 p.m. Thursday.
The man said the four men, three wearing black masks and the other wearing a white mask entered his home with one of the men pointing a rifle at him. They demanded his video games and a laptop, with the man with the rifle telling him, "If you don't give us your stuff, I'm going to put a hot one in you.
They also asked for the man's cell phone and when he handed over an old phone, one of the men said, "That wasn't the one you had a few days ago."
The men took an XBox One gaming system, XBox 360, Laptop computer, Samsung Galaxy cell phone, games and controllers and a tray of pizza.
The victim said his two children were in the home while the robbery occurred. The estimated loss is $2,315.
• Christopher W. Jacobs, 22, 503 Hyde Park Blvd., lower apartment, was charged with petit larceny about 11:30 p.m. Thursday, according to Falls police. Wayne was found with several pairs of underwear belonging to a woman he knew following an altercation on the 56th Street Bridge.

• COUNTERFEIT CURRENCY: A Wal-Mart employee reported to the Niagara County Sheriff's Office that a counterfeit $20 bill was used at the store around 12:15 p.m. Thursday. A cashier at the store said the man purchased about $95 worth of merchandise, and paid with five $20 bills. It wasn't until after the man left that the cashier realized that one of the $20 bills didn't feel or look right. Store security was unable to get a picture of the man's face. The case was forwarded to the Criminal Investigation Bureau for further investigation.
