BLOTTER: Police reports published May 13

Niagara Falls

• BURGLARY: Officers are looking into a burglary in the 1200 block of 89th Street. A 34-year-old woman told police that sometime between 2 p.m. Wednesday and 4:50 p.m. Saturday someone entered her unlocked garage. The victim said her mountain bike was taken.

• ROBBERY: Police are investigating a robbery in the 1800 block of Niagara Street. A 21-year-old woman told officers she was walking into a convenience store at 10:20 p.m. Sunday and as she took a large of amount of money out of her pocket, a man walked up and grabbed it from her. The suspect then reportedly jumped into an older model Lincoln, driven by a woman, and sped away. The victim said she chased the get-away car, but lost sight of it at 13th Street and Cleveland Avenue. The woman said the money that was taken was for her rent.

Town of Lockport

CONTRABAND: Michael R. McGuire, 23, 3131 Woodland Ave., Niagara Falls, was charged with second-degree promoting prison contraband and criminal possession of a controlled substance around 1:05 p.m. Monday, after he was found in possession of an unlisted amount of suboxone. McGuire was arraigned in Lockport Town Court and was ordered held in lieu of $500 bail. He is due to return to court June 5.

CONTRABAND: Efrain A. Baretto, no permanent address, was charged with second-degree promoting prison contraband around 3:40 p.m. Monday, after he was found in possession of 13 antidepressant pills at the county jail. Baretto received a ticket to appear in Town Court on Thursday.
