Robbery suspects quickly caught
Lockport police quickly nabbed two men they say robbed a person near a sub shop on Main Street about 7:15 p.m. Wednesday.
Responding to the robbery call, arriving officers spotted two men fitting the description of the suspects, and when they approached, the two men took off running. Demitrius Cole, 19, was quickly apprehended.
Patrols began looking for the second suspect and saw a basement door that seemed off. With the homeowner’s permission, officers entered the basement, where they found Ralph Williams III, unknown age, hiding.
Both Cole and Williams were charged with second-degree robbery, third-degree menacing, petit larceny, second-degree obstruction of governmental administration and resisting arrest.
