• ARREST: A Falls woman was arrested following the close of business at a local carnival at 1:45 a.m. Saturday in the 8400 block of Buffalo Avenue. Judith Dean, 41, 140 57th St., was charged with disorderly conduct after allegedly continuously attempting to enter a secured area for storing money and supplies. Officers said she tried to run past them and evade them after being ordered off the carnival’s premises, only to return minutes later each time.

 
• BURGLARY: Police are investigating a reported burglary that occurred between 8:30 and 9:45 p.m. Friday at a residence in the 1500 block of LaSalle Avenue. The victim, a 22-year-old woman, said she was out of town for three days and relying on her upstairs neighbor to keep an eye on her place. The neighbor said she secured the residence before leaving, but when she returned, an air conditioning unit had been removed from a window in front of the residence. The victim said a 60-inch television, a 20-inch television, a computer, a car stereo and $100 cash were missing from her home, a total value of $2,400.
 
• ARREST: A Falls man was arrested after a suspicious vehicle report at 5:20 p.m. Friday in the 4600 block of Hyde Park Boulevard. Rusaun Blackmon, 22, 1334 Niagara Ave., was charged with first-degree criminal possession of stolen property, unauthorized use of a motor vehicle, third-degree assault, resisting arrest and fourth-degree criminal mischief after officers in the area reported Blackmon, driving a pickup, slowed to a stop, then tried to hide himself in the vehicle while police were in the area. A check of the vehicle came back as reported stolen, according to reports. Police say he left the vehicle and attempted to flee on foot and ended up in an altercation with officers before being subdued.
 
• ARREST: A Falls woman and a minor were both arrested following a reported shoplifting incident that occurred at 4:15 p.m. Friday at a store in the 1500 block of Military Road. Nautica Ubiles, 18, 2720 22nd St., was charged with petit larceny after security at the store reported she and the minor concealed $3.96 of merchandise on them and attempted to leave the store without paying. The minor’s father was reportedly contacted.

 
• ASSAULT: Police are investigating a reported assault that occurred at 3:30 p.m. Friday in the 1500 block of Centre Avenue. The victim, an 18-year-old man, was hospitalized after five black men and one heavy set black woman pushed him to the ground and repeatedly punched and kicked him, the report said. The victim said his mother witnessed in the incident. Officers report observing swelling of the victim’s head and face. They said during questioning, the victim alluded to knowing the names of the people who hurt him, but didn’t provide names.
