BLOTTER: Police reports published Oct. 20

— Niagara Falls

• BURGLARY: Police are investigating a burglary in the 400 block of 18th Street. A 27-year-old woman told officers that sometime between 7:30 a.m. and 2:22 p.m. Thursday, someone broke into her home by unknown means. The victim said a 42-inch TV was taken.

• ARREST: A Falls man was arrested after he tried to use two young children to break into a house and steal copper. Christopher Shawn Pugh, 22, 1854 Niagara Ave., was charged with attempted third-degree burglary and two counts of endangering the welfare of a child. A witness told police that two young children had broken into the home at 6:40 p.m. Thursday and officers said they saw two boys running from the back of the home. Pugh was also at the rear of the home and blamed the twin boys for breaking into the home. Officers than caught up with the boys, who gave them a burglar tool that Pugh had used to pry open an entrance to the home. Pugh told police he was babysitting the children.
