• BURGLARY: Police are investigating a burglary in the 500 block of 92nd Street. A 23-year-old man told officers that sometime between 1 and 5 a.m. Wednesday, someone broke into his garage by forcing open the lock on the side door. The victim said a drill set, a gear wrench, a tool box containing 250 hand tools and a MIG welder were taken.

• ARREST: A Middleport teen was arrested after a shoplifting incident at a store in the 1500 block of Military Road at 8:30 p.m. Wednesday. Andrew Groves, 18, 18 North Main St., was charged with petit larceny and third-degree criminal mischief. Groves is accused of cutting open 48 packages of Yu-Gi-Oh! cards and attempting to take the contents without paying for them.
