• BURGLARY: Police are investigating a burglary in the 400 block of 19th Street. A 30-year-old woman told officers that sometime between 11:55 a.m. and 12:40 p.m. Friday someone broke into her apartment by forcing open a door. The victim said a 32-inch LCD TV and a PlayStation3 game system were taken.
• THEFT: Officers are looking into a car break-in in the 2500 block of Jerauld Avenue. An 18-year-old woman told police that sometime between 10 p.m. Thursday and 8:15 a.m. Friday someone broke into her 1996 Pontiac Grand Am by smashing a passenger-side front window. The victim said a purse containing $100 and a digital camera were taken.

• DRUGS: Rashaan D. Ubiles, 18, 1914 16th St., Niagara Falls, was charged Thursday night with unlawful possession of marijuana and jaywalking. Officers stopped Ubiles when they saw him walking in the middle of Grand Street. He was charged after they discovered he had a bag containing marijuana.

• VANDALISM: A Joann Drive man reported Thursday that about 8 p.m. Tuesday his wife heard a loud bang outside their home but thought nothing of it. The man said he later found a lawn chair, worth about $9, was tipped over and a small piece was chipped out of it. The man was gluing the chair back together Thursday when he found a .270-caliber bullet near the chair. The man believes the bullet could have come from the wooded area to the south of the home, the report said. The bullet was taken into evidence.
Town of Lockport
• FIGHT: A Crescent Heights teen told deputies Thursday night that his friend got into a verbal argument with several unknown people inside Wal-Mart on South Transit Road. When the teen went outside, the people confronted him again, the report said. The teen said one of the people grabbed him by the throat and threw him to the ground. The group got into a silver Chevy Tahoe and fled north on South Transit, the report said. The teen was not injured.
