TOWN OF LOCKPORT

Teen charged with fireworks possession

A Sheriff’s deputies who noticed a box of fireworks in a pickup during a traffic stop arrested the driver.

Stephen Geoffrey Boulden, 17, 6990 Creekview Drive, was charged Wednesday night with unlawful possession of fireworks.

Deputies stopped Boulden on Rapids Road about 11:43 p.m. after he passed a patrol car recklessly on Old Beattie Road.

During the traffic stop, deputies saw a cardboard box containing assorted fireworks in the back of Boulden’s pickup. A plastic bag containing fireworks was also found, the report said.

Deputies said Boulden admitted the fireworks were his.



Niagara Falls

• ASSAULT: Police are looking for three suspects in connection with an assault in the area of 24th Street and Whitney Avenue. A 24-year-old man told officers he was walking in the area at 4:25 a.m. Thursday when three other men attacked him. The victim said the suspects repeatedly punched and kicked him.

Wheatfield

• LARCENY: A Trailsend Lane man reported Wednesday that overnight, someone entered his wife’s car and stole a cell phone, pillow and flashlight. The items are worth about $170, the report said.

North Tonawanda

• DRUGS: Amanda L. Fero, 19, 484 19th St., Niagara Falls, was arrested Wednesday for possession of marijuana. He was released on his own recognizance.

Town of Lockport

• HARASSMENT: William G. Harris, 22, 51 Elmhurst Drive, was charged Thursday afternoon with first-degree harassment. A Spalding Street man told sheriff’s deputies that Harris followed him into the bathroom at Denny’s on South Transit Road. Harris allegedly confronted the man about a past incident involving one of Harris’ family members, then punched the man, causing a fight. Harris was released on an appearance ticket and is due Tuesday in Lockport Town Court.

• LARCENY: A Ridge Road woman told sheriff’s deputies she parked her car on Harrington Road between 7 a.m. and 8:30 a.m. Tuesday while she was walking her dog. Later in the day, the woman went to her car looking for her change purse and found it was missing. The woman then noticed a Garmin GPS and a Sirius Radio receiver missing. The items are together worth about $520, the report said.

• FRAUD: A Sunset Drive man reported Wednesday that someone used his Visa card June 24 to purchase $21 worth of merchandise online. The man said he contacted the online company where the purchase was made and was told the suspects are overseas. He told deputies he canceled the credit card, the report said.
