An elderly woman reported missing by her family Tuesday night was found in the Southern Tier after the Niagara County Sheriff’s Department issued an alert.
Billie P. Pixley, 75, of Karen Avenue, was reported missing by her daughter, a Burt woman.
Pixley, who suffers from Alzheimer’s Disease, was reportedly seen driving away from her home about 5 p.m. The family said she had gone missing before.
The NCSD issued an alert with a description of Pixley and the car she was driving.
Early Wednesday morning, another alert was issued saying Pixley had been located and was at the Cattaraugus County Sheriff’s Department, where her family was headed to pick her up.
NORTH TONAWANDA
Motorcyclist hurt in collision
A motorcyclist was transported Wednesday evening by Twin Cities Ambulance to Erie County Medical Center after he was injured in a motor vehicle accident at the intersection of River Road and Goundry Street.
According to North Tonawanda police, the cyclist was not seriously injured and was conscious and alert when treated by emergency personnel.
Police say the motorcycle was traveling north on River Road about 6:30 p.m. when a car traveling south turned left onto Goundry Street in front of the motorcycle, causing the motorcyclist to strike the vehicle.
The driver of the car, who was not injured, was issued a ticket for failure to yield the right of way.
The names of the drivers were not available at press time.
Both vehicles were towed.
North Tonawanda firefighters were also dispatched to the site.

• DWI: Sherman W. Wisor, 48, 660 72nd St., was charged with driving while intoxicated and failure to keep right about 6 a.m. Wednesday, according to Falls police. A Border Patrol agent in the Dunkin Donuts parking lot called police after spotting Wisor hit a curb and drive erratically on Niagara Falls Boulevard. Followed to 66th Street, police said Wisor drove through grass before parking his car and delivering newspapers. Wisor then got back into his car and started driving on the wrong side of the street before he was pulled over. Once in custody, his blood alcohol content was measured at 0.16 percent by a Breathalyzer, police said.
• THEFT: A New Jersey woman told police she was staying at the Holiday Inn, 114 Buffalo Ave., and left her wedding band and wedding ring in a bag on a nightstand before going out for a couple hours Wednesday. When she returned, the bag containing the rings had been placed in another bag and the wedding ring, valued at $2,800, was gone. A suspect was provided to police.
• THEFT: A Texas man told police someone smashed in a window of his ’09 Kia Spectra and took a GPS unit while it was parked in the lot of the Super 8 motel, 7680 Niagara Falls Blvd., sometime Tuesday night.
• ASSAULT: A 51-year-old city woman who was being treated at Niagara Falls Memorial Medical Center reported to police that she was leaving the Elks Sunset Lodge, 3200 Highland Ave., when another woman grabbed her hair and pulled her to the ground. Once on the ground, the victim said the other woman and two men punched and kicked her. Police noted the woman had extensive injuries all over her body.
• FRAUD: A 75th Street couple reported to police that someone had made six fraudulent charges on their credit card between Feb. 20 and March 8. The couple said they suspected the card information was taken when they used the card at a Niagara Falls Boulevard store. The six charges totaled $292.70. Five were made at Submasters and the other was made with Time Warner Cable. A suspect was provided to police.

• VANDALISM: A Ridge Road man told deputies Tuesday that he believes his ex-girlfriend came to his house overnight and pulled all his flowers and vegetables out of the ground. He said he received a text message from the woman saying, “Your poor flowers.” A neighbor saw the woman going into the backyard around midnight. The man did not wish to press charges, but wanted the woman warned, the report said. Damage was estimated at $100.
Hartland
• ASSAULT: A Rainbow Park woman told deputies she went to Boyers Tavern on Ridge Road about 2:43 a.m. Wednesday with several men. Once they were inside, a man yelled at them and a fight ensued between the men, the report said. The woman told deputies she would seek medical attention because she was worried the altercation may have affected her pregnancy, the report said.

• JAYWALKING: John P. Fischer, 55, 107 Genesee St., Apt. 9, was charged Tuesday with jaywalking. Officers on patrol reportedly saw Fischer about to cross Walnut Street about 75 feet from the intersection with Pine Street. As they passed, Fischer allegedly yelled something at the patrol car. Officers turned around and asked Fischer if he needed anything, and he allegedly began rambling, saying, “It’s all the same (expletive), you’re not gonna do anything,” and “It’s like this all over, and you can’t do anything about it.” When asked to explain, Fischer reportedly continued rambling. Officers advised him to cross at the crosswalk from now on, and he reportedly said, “I don’t think so.” He then allegedly crossed Pine Street about 100 feet south of Walnut Street as cars were passing in both directions. He was stopped again and issued a ticket, the report said.
