State police are looking for the driver in a hit-and-run collision that left an Akron man in critical condition.

Kyle Regan, 20, of Akron, is currently at Erie County Medical Center after he was struck while lying in the middle of County Road, east of Stahley Road in the Town of Clarence.

About 3:20 a.m., a westbound motorist saw Regan lying in the eastbound lane. Before the motorist was able to turn around to help him, an eastbound vehicle ran him over, the report said.

The vehicle, described as a full-sized truck dark in color, continued eastbound without stopping. There may have been more than one person in the vehicle.

The state police are asking anyone with information to contact the Clarence barracks at 759-6831.
