Falls hotel melee leads to three arrests
Three people were arrested early Sunday morning after Falls Police tried to quiet a rowdy party at a Third Street hotel.
An off duty officer said he went a to room on the sixth floor of the Crowne Plaza hotel, at 2:18 a.m., after other guests had complained of noise and drunken people running in the hallways. The officer said he told a crowd of “20-something” partiers to quiet down and was confronted by two men.
When one of the men became uncooperative, the officer told him he was under arrest and the second man, Joseph Anthony Piccirillo, 21, 6994 Jennifer Court, Wheatfield, charged at the officer, knocking him to the ground.
As the officer fought with Piccirillo, the other man fled the scene. Additional officers then arrived at the hotel and took Piccirillo into custody.

Police also charged Michael P. Ferguson, 23, and Amber Ferguson, 22, both of 84 Main St., Dansville, with disorderly conduct. Officers said both Fergusons created a disturbance and refused to obey police orders.
