BLOTTER: Police reports published April 18

Niagara Falls

• ARREST: Vincent J. Auricchio, 17, 714 20th St., was charged with third- and fifth-degree criminal possession of a controlled substance and unlawful possession of marijuana at 5:45 p.m. Thursday. He was seen trying to hide a bag of marijuana and a blunt cigarette underneath a log when officers approached him near the corner of Niagara and 16th streets. After being brought to the police station, officers found Auricchio also was concealing a small bag of cocaine down the back of his pants.

• ANIMAL COMPLAINT: A 15th Street man told police he was temporarily unable to exit his vehicle and enter his home because his neighbor had left two large pit bulls unleashed in the yard Wednesday evening. He claimed the dogs have chased him in the past, making him concerned about his safety. The victim also said his neighbor threatened his life after he asked him to keep the dogs leashed up. No charges were filed.

City of Lockport

•n MENACING: Evelyn K. Lowe, 47, 427 19th St., lower, Niagara Falls, was charged Wednesday evening with second-degree menacing. A Jordan Gardens man told police he got off the bus on Locust Street on Jan. 14 and was walking on Walnut Street when Lowe, his ex-girlfriend, approached him and asked if he had put a warrant out for her. Lowe then pulled a steak knife out of her coat pocket and held it in her hand in a threatening manner, telling the man if he did have a warrant out for her, she would “get him,” the report said. The man walked away and went to the Lockport Police Department. A warrant was issued for Lowe’s arrest. She was arrested without incident about 7 p.m. Wednesday and was held without bail. She is due Monday in Lockport City Court.

Wheatfield

• LARCENY: A Plaza Drive woman reported Thursday that overnight someone removed the tires and rims from the driver’s side of her car while it was parked outside her home. The driver’s side of the car was left on cinder blocks. The tires and rims are worth about $400, the report said.

City of Lockport

• HARASSMENT: Christopher S. Wienke, 26, 352 South St., was charged Thursday afternoon with second-degree harassment. Wienke allegedly attacked a family member, placing his hands round her neck and shoving her onto a bed. The woman sustained redness in her neck area from the attack, the report said. Wienke was held without bail and is due Monday in Lockport City Court.

Town of Lockport

• HARASSMENT: A Dysinger Road woman reported Thursday that another woman has called her several times and left notes on her apartment door threatening to take her to court. The woman did not want any charges filed.
