Falls man reports being robbed, shot
A 58-year-old Niagara Falls resident was shot in Buffalo during a robbery, according to Niagara Falls Police reports.
The victim told police he was watching a game of craps on Fillmore Avenue in Buffalo late Friday when a teenager approached him wearing a dark ski mask. The teen grabbed the victim’s arm and tried to pull him into a dark alley, he told Falls police.
The suspect then pulled out a large handgun and fired a shot at the ground, missing the victim, according to the report. The suspect shot again, making contact with the victim’s right foreman, and reached into his pocket, taking $200. The suspect fled and, though there were multiple witnesses around, no one helped, said the victim, who cannot identify any of the witnesses.
The victim reportedly drove home to Niagara Falls and admitted himself to Memorial Medical Cener for treatment. Niagara Falls officers contacted police in Buffalo regarding the report.

— ARSON: Officers responded to a call of a vehicle on fire around the 4700 block of Porter Road. The car, a 1991 red GMC Jimmy, was completely engulfed in flames when police arrived. The city fire department responded and the vehicle was later towed. The owner of the vehicle could not be found. Police suspect the fire was deliberately set.
— DWI: Joseph E. Page, 58, 1614 Niagara Ave., was charged at 12:25 a.m. Saturday with driving while intoxicated, consuming alcohol on the highway and failure to keep right. Page was stopped for driving left of pavement markings and officers observed an open bottle of Bacardi rum inside his car, according to the police report. He was booked and held for court.
— LARCENY: A car parked in Packard Court was broken into between 1 and 2:30 a.m. Saturday, according to police reports. The Mazda was pried open and $1,300 in stereo equipment, including speakers and subwoofers, was removed from the vehicle. The car sustained an additional $1,180 in damage.
— DWI: Camille N. Dix, 36, 261, Portage Road, Apt. 9, was charged at 2:10 a.m. Saturday with failure to yield to an emergency vehicle, driving while intoxicated, consuming alcohol on the highway, resisting arrest and unsafe lane change.
