PET OF THE WEEK: #1093, Cowboy
Shepherd/Lab Mix, Male, 1.5 Years.
| | Found as a stray. He may appear intimidating but looks are deceiving. He is a very good natured boy!! Large, strong and active, he will need plenty of exercise. Can sit when asked. Had a severe flea infestation when he arrived and due to this he had some scabs and missing fur from scratching. He seems to have had an allergic reaction to the fleas so it is important his new family keep him on a flea preventative to avoid future itchy reactions. His ears will need occasional cleaning. He was very good while his ears were cleaned. He weighs 67 pounds, 4/21/09. We strongly recommend if you have another dog to bring your dog to meet this dog before doing an adoption. 4/22/09: The volunteers have found that he walks very well on leash. He likes to play ball.
