AUG. 10: Miracle League carnival in the Veterans’ Park near the Town Library on Bedell Road. If you haven’t heard, Miracle League is the gathering of folks – mostly young, but a few older – who are walkers. Day’s events include hayrides and other horsing around.

• SEPT. 2: Labor Day. Bridge closings drop back to 8 p.m. Summer, we hardly knew ye’…
