Lottie Marie Rajczak

NIAGARA FALLS — Lottie Marie (Cieslik) Rajczak, 91, of Niagara Falls, NY, passed away Sunday, June 15, 2014 in Schoellkopf Health Center. Born August 21, 1922 in Depew, NY, she was the daughter of the late Stanley and Sophie (Walaszek) Cieslik. At the age of three they moved to Niagara Falls. Lottie attended and graduated from Holy Trinity Elementary School and graduated from Niagara Falls High School in 1940.

On October 11, 1941, she married Walter (Koziol) Rajczak. Walter served as a councilman for the city of Niagara Falls. Mr. Rajczak passed away in March of 1984. After high school Mrs.   Rajczak worked for about two years at Grant's Department Store on Main St. She also worked at International Paper Company in the Finishing department and also the Sample Shop. Lottie and her husband owned and operated Rajczak Grocery Store on 24th St. for about 30 years. She enjoyed cooking, gardening and crafts.

A former member of St. Stan's Mothers Club, also Quo Vadis, serving as Treasurer, President and Vice-President. Served on the Parish Council of St. Stan's and as chairman and co-chairman of numerous committees at St. Stan's Church. She was a former member of both Holy Trinity and St. Stan's, The Eastside Professional Businessmen's Association, the Golden Age Clubs of Niagara Falls, NY, Reunited Seniors and Holy Trinity Seniors, serving as recording Secretary since 1993.

She is survived by her son, Robert (Elizabeth) Rajczak of Grand Island; grandchildren, Remy (Gary) Orlowski, Sean (Kim) Rotella, Aaron Rotella, Brian (Mary), Thomas (Erin) and        Christopher Rajczak; great-grandchild, Zachary Rajczak; also several nieces and nephews. Besides her parents and husband, she was predeceased by her daughter, Carole Ann Rotella-Penale; her sisters, Jean Lubas, Irene Noworyta and Stella Madej.

Friends may call Wednesday, June 18th, from 4-8 PM at ZAJAC FUNERAL HOME INC.,   319-24th St., Niagara Falls, NY, where funeral services will begin at 9:00 AM on Thursday,    followed by a Mass of Christian Burial at 9:30 AM at Divine Mercy Parish, 24th and Niagara Sts., with Rev. Jacek Mazur officiating. Burial following in St. Michael's Cemetery, Lewiston, NY. In lieu of flowers, donations in her memory may be made to St. Jude Children's Research Hospital, 501 St. Jude Place, Memphis, TN 38105-1942.
