David R. Lostracco


David R. Lostracco, of Lewiston, NY, passed away on Tuesday, March 5, 2013, in Mt. St. Mary's Hospital. He was born in Niagara Falls, NY, on January 14, 1930, the son of the late Louis and Piacendina (Colangelo) Lostracco.
Mr. Lostracco served with the Army National Guard. He was employed with Union Carbide for 40 years, before retiring in 1986. Mr. Lostracco was a member of the Union Carbide Retirees and volunteered as a Care Van driver at Memorial Medical Center and at Heart, Love and Soul. He enjoyed fishing and traveling throughout  the world.
Mr. Lostracco is survived by his wife of 56 years, Mary T. (Nassoiy) Lostracco; a son, David R. (Jeanne) Lostracco; a daughter, Margret A. (Steven) Nawrocki, both of Lewiston, NY; two grandchildren, Megan Lostracco and Nicholas Nawrocki; two brothers, Henry Lostracco and Louis (Kathy) Lostracco; a sister, Sarah B. Kratz. He is also survived by many nieces and nephews. He was the brother of the late Viola Orozco and Gilda Bradley.
There will be no prior visitation. Friends are invited to attend a Mass of Christian Burial on Friday at 11:00 AM at  St. Peter's Church, 620 Center Street, Lewiston, NY, with the Rev. Michael P. Zuffoletto officiating. Memorials may be made in his name to the American Heart or to the American Diabetes Associations. Mr. Lostracco gave the gift of life by being an organ donor. Inurnment in Gate of Heaven Cemetery, Lewiston, NY. Arrangements were made through the RHONEY FUNERAL HOME.
