Joe Nathan Welch

NIAGARA FALLS — Joe Nathan Welch, 60, of Niagara Falls, NY, died on January 30, 2013, surrounded by his family. He was born on July 8, 1952 to the late J.D. Welch and the late Mae Ruth Brown.

He was a 1970 graduate of Niagara Falls High School and went on to attend Farmingdale College. He worked several years as a factory worker at Carborundum, as well as a pressman at The Buffalo News where he retired from in 2005. Joe loved to work with his hands by fixing cars that he owned and for relatives. Joe cherished family reunions, family trips and visiting older family members.

Joe is survived by his wife of 39 years, Belinda Welch, whom he married on May 26, 1973. He is also survived by his sons, Nathanael Welch and Joseph Welch, Sr.; his grandson, Joseph Welch, Jr.; his brother, Elbert Welch; and many nieces, nephews and cousins. He was predeceased by three brothers, William Welch, Lee D. Welch, Robert Welch; and one sister, Alice Pryor.

Funeral services will be held at 11:00 AM on February 6, 2013, at the Kingdom Hall of Jehovah's Witnesses, 3200-17th Street, Niagara Falls. No prior visitation. Arrangements by WILLIAMSON FUNERAL HOME, 635 Main Street.
