Michael Kevin Illig

NIAGARA FALLS — Michael Kevin Illig, of Niagara Falls, died on Thursday, January 31, 2013, at home. He was 54.  Michael was born in Niagara Falls, NY on January 10, 1959, the son of the late Harold A. and Rosella (Lance) Illig. He was a graduate of the former LaSalle Senior High School in its class of 1977.

Michael was an accomplished bowler, an avid Pittsburgh Steelers and Boston Bruins and NASCAR fan. He was employed at Occidental Chemical Company as a loader/millwright for      33 years.

He is survived by his sister, Cheryl (John) Licata of Niagara Falls; two nieces, Jennifer (Jeremy) Hildebrand and Laura (Steven) Hackett; his great- niece, Emilie Hackett; several godchildren and many close friends.

Friends may call Monday from 6-9 PM in the LANE FUNERAL HOME, INC., 8622 Buffalo       Avenue, where Deacon Patrick Bradley will conduct services Monday at 9 PM, following the visitation. The interment will take place privately in Gate of Heaven Cemetery, Lewiston. Flowers graciously declined. Memorials, if desired, may be made to a charity of one's choice.
