Lawrence Chirello

YOUNGSTOWN —  

Lawrence Chirello, 69, of Youngstown, NY, passed away on Wednesday, January 9, 2013 at Mt. St. Mary's Hospital in Lewiston, NY. Born in Niagara Falls, NY, he was the son of the late Frank and Mary (Loren) Chirello.
Lawrence attended local schools and graduated from Niagara Falls High School. On August 15, 1970, he married Shirley (Casten) Chirello in Niagara Falls, NY. He owned and operated Niagara Rapids Delivery in Niagara Falls for thirty years, until retiring in 1998. Lawrence had a passion for animals, especially for his dogs. At one time, he also owned Dove Meadows in Sanborn where he trained horses for racing.
In addition to his wife of forty-two years, Lawrence is survived by four children, David (Angela) Chirello of Atlanta, GA, Jamie (Jason) Abounader of Buffalo, NY, Joseph Chirello of Kansas City, MO and Lori Chirello of Niagara Falls, NY; seven grandchildren, including, Will, Jack, Elizabeth and Samuel Chirello; one brother, Frank (Barbara) Chirello of Lewiston, NY; and several nieces, nephews and cousins. He was also predeceased by two sisters, Frances Scarfone and Carolyn Chirello.
Visitation will be held on Friday from 5-8 PM at the M.J. COLUCCI & SON NIAGARA FUNERAL CHAPEL, 2730 Military Road, Niagara Falls, NY 14304. If desired, memorial donations may be made to the Niagara County SPCA, 2100 Lockport Road, Niagara Falls, NY  14304.
