Dorothy A. Sabett

NIAGARA FALLS —  

Dorothy A. (Pokrzyk) Sabett, 88, of Niagara Falls, NY, passed away on Sunday, December 9, 2012 at North Gate Manor North Tonawanda, NY. Born on September 20, 1924 in Niagara Falls, NY, she was the daughter of the late Valentine and Antoinette Pokrzyk and attended local schools.
She was a member of St. John de LaSalle Church and was employed as a machine operator at Moore Business Forms. She enjoyed watching soap operas, gardening, reading, cooking and especially spending time with her family.
She is survived by her daughters, Cheryl Holthouser of Niagara Falls, and Gloria (Jim) Wiltse of Sanborn; her step-son, Vito (Barbara) Sabett of Hamburg; nine grandchildren, twenty great-grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews. Besides her parents, she was predeceased by her husbands, Frank Quaglia and Joseph Sabett; six brothers and five sisters.
Friends may call on Tuesday, December 11th from 5-8 PM at ZAJAC FUNERAL HOME, INC., 319-24th. St., cor. Welch Ave., Niagara Falls, NY. A Mass of Christian Burial will take place at 11:00 AM on Wednesday in St. John de LaSalle Church, 8477 Buffalo Ave., with Rev. Slawomir Siok officiating. Entombment following in St. Josephs Cemetery, Niagara Falls, NY. EVERYONE PLEASE ASSEMBLE AT CHURCH. Donations in her memory may be made to Niagara Hospice, 4675 Sunset Dr., Lockport, NY 14094.
