John K. Fleury

NIAGARA FALLS —  

John K. Fleury, formerly of Niagara Falls, passed away at the age of 87, in Houston, TX, on November 24, 2012.
John retired as head of payroll for Occidental. He was very active in sports, particularly in softball, basketball and tennis. He received numerous sports awards in both Niagara Falls and Houston including "Sportsman of the Year" in Niagara County and induction into the Houston Senior Softball League Hall of Fame. He was well-known for his sense of humor and will be greatly missed by all.
He was preceded in death by his wife, Dorothy (Mason). He is survived by his five children, Sharon Fleury, Carol Carter, Barbara Tierney, Stephen Fleury and Beth Fleury; a sister, Elizabeth Leo; several grandchildren and great-grandchildren; as well as many other relatives.
