Ruth Arlene Mang

SUMMERVILLE, SC — Ruth Arlene Mang, 90, of Summerville, SC, passed away on Monday, September 24, 2012, of congestive heart failure. Mrs. Mang was born in Niagara Falls, NY, on March 17, 1922, the daughter of Clyde and Minnie (Borks) Richey.

She worked in the office at International Paper Co. and Carborundum Co. (Refractories Division), until her retirement in 1972. She and her husband moved to New Smyrna Beach, FL in 1982, where she was active in the Lady Elks Club for over 20 years. Since 2006, she and her husband lived in Summerville, SC.

She is survived by her devoted husband of 69 years, William L. Mang, Sr.; a son, William L. Mang, Jr. and his wife, Dru, of Hollywood, SC; two grandchildren, John S. Mang of Charlotte, NC, Katie A. Mang of Mt. Pleasant, SC; two step-grandchildren, Matthew C. Robinson of Mt. Pleasant, SC and Brittany D. Perrineau of West Hollywood, CA; and six great-grandchildren.

In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Breast Cancer Awareness/Susan G. Komen for the Cure. Graveside services in Niagara Falls will be held at a later date at the convenience of the family.
