Eileen J. Wilkinson

NIAGARA FALLS — Eileen J. Wilkinson, 73, of Wheatfield, NY, passed from this life on Sunday, July 7, 2013 in Schoellkopf Health Care Facility in Niagara Falls, NY. Born on August 12, 1939 in Philipsburg, PA, she was the daughter of the late William O. and Jane R. (Copeland) Wilkinson.

Eileen came to Niagara Falls, NY in 1952 and attended local schools. In 1957, she graduated from the former LaSalle High School. For 37 years, Eileen worked for New York Telephone Company and AT&T, until her retirement in the mid 1990s.  She was a member of the Telephone Pioneers and the North Tonawanda Miniature Club. Eileen enjoyed sewing, crocheting, tole painting, collecting dolls and dollhouse miniatures.

Eileen is survived by three siblings, William G. (Linda) Wilkinson, Mark A. Wilkinson and Beth A. Wilkinson, all of Sanborn, NY; three nephews; one niece and several great-nieces, great-nephews and cousins.

The family will be present to receive friends TODAY, Wednesday, July 10th from 10-11 AM in the Chapel of Acacia Park Cemetery, 4215 Tonawanda Creek Road North, North Tonawanda, NY, where a funeral and committal prayer service will follow visitation at 11:00 AM, with Pastor Tom Broderick officiating. In lieu of flowers, memorial offerings may be made to Niagara Hospice, 4675 Sunset Drive, Lockport, NY 14094                    ( Arrangements have been entrusted to OTTO REDANZ FUNERAL HOME, 2215 Military Road, Niagara Falls, NY (716-297-9007).
