Barbara A. Lupo

NORTH TONAWANDA — Barbara A. Lupo (Avery), 87, Wednesday (September 11, 2013) in Schofield Residence. Mrs. Lupo was born in Cambridge, MA on March 24, 1926 to David and Anne (McShane) Avery. Barbara was a former employee of Niagara County Department of Social Services and a Foster Grandmother at Drake Elementary School. Barbara received her teaching degree later in life after raising her children. She was an avid card and bingo player. Barbara was predeceased by her daughter, Beverly (Lupo) Sirody.

Barbara is survived by her children, James (Cathy), Daniel, John Lupo, and Kim (Michael) Alianello; sister of the late Douglas and Russell Avery; grandmother of Joanne, John, Jimmy, Michael and DJ; great-grandmother of Molly. Also surviving are several nieces and nephews.

Friends may call Friday from 4-8 PM at the Wattengel Funeral Home, 307 Oliver St., North Tonawanda, where funeral services will follow. Interment will be held Saturday at 10:30 AM from Elmlawn Cemetery. Please assemble at gate. If desired, memorials may be made to the American Diabetes and Cancer Society, as well as Josh's Journey.
