Cynthia M. Isom

NIAGARA FALLS —

Cynthia M. Isom, of Niagara Falls, NY, passed away on Saturday, August 17, 2013, at her home. She was born in Niagara Falls, NY on June 8, 1948, a daughter of the late George and Ruby (Peck) Allen.
Mrs. Isom attended local schools until moving to St. Petersburg, FL in 1962, where she graduated from Gibbs High School. She moved back to Niagara Falls in 1972  and  later received her Certificate of Nursing at BOCES in 1992. She was a nurses aid at DeVeaux Manor and St. Mary's Nursing Home for many years and then became a housekeeper at the Holiday Inn. Mrs. Isom loved spending time with her family and friends and enjoyed listening to music, watching TV and reading the Bible.
She was the wife of the late Kevin Isom. Mrs. Isom is survived by two sons, Johnathan and Alphonso Moody; a daughter, Jacqueline Moody; a sister, Carolyn (Jarvis) Williams; her former husband, Bernard Moody; niece, Janelle Mitchell-Walker; and nephew, Albert Mallory, Jr. She is also survived by fourteen grandchildren, five great-grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews. She was the sister of the late John Bartow Mitchell.
A Memorial service will  be held at 11:00 AM on Saturday at RHONEY FUNERAL HOME, 1124 Ontario Ave., NIAGARA FALLS, NY, with the Rev. Timothy Brown officiating.
