Brian Piccolo

NIAGARA FALLS — Brian Piccolo was born on January 7, 1978 and lost his fight on September 27, 2013. Brian was born in Buffalo, NY and resided in Niagara Falls and Tonawanda most of his life.

Brian was a 1996 graduate of Tonawanda Senior High School where in excelled in both football and wrestling. Brian had spent the last 10 plus years  living in Florida. He was an MMA fighter and trained out of Ultimate Boxing/MMA in Panama City, FL. In February 2013, he was given only nine months to live after being diagnosed with stage 4 esophageal cancer. Brian took the news and did something great with it, he lived!

Brian leaves behind him a legacy both in New York and Florida. To carry on his memory he leaves behind his wife, Shelley Hendrix-Piccolo; his children, Zachary Piccolo, 16; Brian Piccolo, Jr., 14; Hayden Zepeda, 9; Devan Piccolo, 7 and Vanessa Piccolo, 4. He is also survived by grandmother, Gearldine Edenhofer Piccolo; mother, RoseAnn Campbell; father, Anthony Piccolo; dad, John Jermy (Melissa Cannon); seven sisters, four brothers; nieces, nephews, aunts, uncles, cousins, friends, coaches and teammates.

In his own words, "Love me or hate me, but you're gonna remember me!" and that we will.

A memorial service is being held on November 2, 2013, at 11:00 AM at The Fair Havens Church, 7337 Ward Rd., North Tonawanda, NY 14120. In lieu of flowers, show a random act of kindness or donate to the charity of your choice in Brian's name.
