Rita J. Kollie

NIAGARA FALLS — Rita J. (Potter) Kollie, of Niagara Falls, NY, passed away Saturday, October 5, 2013,                surrounded by her loving family. Her last words were, "I love everybody."

Born on December 13, 1950 to the late Richard (Pop-Pop) and Jean (Nena) Potter, she was raised in Niagara Falls along with her sisters, Karen Potter Smith and Darlene Destino (Ted Janese).

She was previously employed by Elderwood Health Care as an Environmental Director for      numerous years.

She is leaving behind her three daughters, Lynette Kollie (Rachel Kanouff), Jean Kollie and Tricia Kollie Garner (Kevin); along with 12 grandchildren and one great-grandchild on the way; three nephews, Randy (Tina) Smith, Rich (Alicia) Smith and Gary (Dawn) Smith and three nieces, Angela (Tom) Darcangelo, Jamah (Deana) Destino and Dana (Chris) Joyce; along with several great-nieces, nephews and cousins.

Per Rita's request, "You've got to be kidding me," there will be no prior visitation. She has graciously donated her body to science.

A memorial service is being held on Wednesday, October 9, at 11 AM at the Greater Niagara Falls Church of God, 2334 Lockport Road, Sanborn, NY 14132. In lieu of flowers, donations would be appreciated to the SPCA of Niagara.
