Edward A. Tramell


Edward A. Tramell was born on February 11, 1932 in West Point, GA, to Daisy Peterson Tramell and Aaron Traylor. At an early age his mother moved to Tuskegee, AL, where he experienced the love of extended family and the joys of his mother's bustling cafe. He would go on the graduate from Tuskegee Institute High School in 1951 and shortly thereafter relocated to Niagara Falls, NY. In 1952, Edward became a member of St. John's AME Church where he served as an active member of the usher board and was a church trustee at the time of his passing. He was employed by Autolite Corporation in Niagara Falls, NY and retired in 1986 after 30 years of service.
Edward leaves to cherish his precious memory, six children: five daughters, Alnita Y. Tramell, Inglewood, CA, Deborah Tramell Parmer, Richmond, VA, Yvonne Gamble (Gregory), Niagara Falls, NY, Luecendia Reed/ Chicago, IL and Brianna Brown, Chicago, IL; son, Edward Lee Holifield, Niagara Falls, NY; thirteen grandchildren, six great-grandchildren and a host of relatives and lifelong friends.
Wake and Funeral Services will be held at St. Johns AME Church, 917 Garden Ave., Niagara Falls, NY 14305. Visitation on Wednesday, March 12, 2014 from 6-8 PM. Funeral Services will be held on Thursday, March 13, 2013 at 11 AM. Interment Oakwood Cemetery, Niagara Falls, NY. Arrangements by WILLIAMSON FUNERAL HOME, 635 Main St.
