Henry Lewis Thornton, 63, of Niagara Falls, passed away on March 7, 2014 in Niagara Falls Memorial Medical Center. Born on November 29, 1950 in Butler County, AL, the son of Robert and Freddie Mae (Rudolph) Thornton.
Henry attended local schools and was a graduate of a Syracuse University and taught in the Syracuse Public School System. He was a sports enthusiast and enjoyed spending time with his family and friends.
Surviving other than his mother are his children, Henry Moss, Marie Johnson, Rochelle Burgin, Courtney and Courtland Thornton; one sister, Vivian Bland and three brothers, Frederick (Alean), Michael and Lonnie Thornton; four grandchildren; and a host of other relatives and friends, including a devoted, friend Athelda Williams. He was predeceased by one daughter, Alicia Hunt.
Family will receive friends at 11 AM on Wednesday in the WILLIAMSON FUNERAL HOME, 635 Main Street. Memorial Services to follow at Noon.
