NIAGARA FALLS —
Sendora (Green) Kay, age 101, of Niagara Falls, died on November 24, 2013 in Our Lady of Peace Nursing Care Residence in Lewiston. Born on October 14, 1912 in Uvaldia, GA. She was the daughter of Homer and Maryetta (Hogan) Green, Sr.
Sendora moved to Niagara Falls in 1945. She retired in 1979 after working 32 years for Carborundum Company. She belonged to the Ruth Johnson Chapter 256 International Eastern Star of Niagara Falls, NY. She was a longtime member of New Hope Baptist Church, where she enjoyed attending services and working the kitchen. She enjoyed cooking, reading her Bible and tending to her flower and vegetable garden.
Survived by her loving son, Willie F. Kay; daughter, Mary H. McPherson; one brother, Phillip Green; seven grandchildren, eight great-grandchildren; and a host of relatives and friends. She was predeceased by her husband, John Kay (1975); three brothers, Robert Green, William Green and Homer Green; and two sisters, Mamie Cain and Cora Drinks.
Visitation on Friday at 11 AM in the New Hope Baptist Church, 1122 Buffalo Ave. Funeral Service at 12 Noon. Burial in Oakwood Cemetery. Arrangements by Williamson Funeral Home, 635 Main St.
