Edward M. White, Sr.

NIAGARA FALLS —  

Edward M. White, Sr., 66, of Niagara Falls, NY, passed away on Monday, March 25, 2013 in Hawthorn Health Multicare Center in Buffalo, NY, following a brief illness. Born on September 10, 1946 in Punxsutawney, PA, he was the son of the late Roy M. White and the late Georgena (nee Pardee) White Lapp; and the step-son of the late Leonard Lapp.
Mr. White attended schools in Pennsylvania. For a number of years, Edward resided in Florida and came back to Niagara Falls, NY in November of 2012. Locally, he worked for Union Carbide and Airco Spear. Later, Mr. White was employed by the City of Lake Worth, FL, where he was a painter, until his retirement in 2009. Edward was an avid football and Buffalo Bills fan. He enjoyed fishing and in his younger years, bowling.
Mr. White is survived by two children, Edward M. White, Jr. and Molly (Jackie Murray) White, both of Niagara Falls, NY; and three grandchildren, Alyssa, Jasmine and Emma White. Edward is also survived by five siblings, Ronald (Linda) White of Georgia, Dale White of Pennsylvania, Nancy (Bill) Guetta of Texas, Penny (Steve) Maluchnik of Niagara Falls, NY and David (Tammy) White of Florida; and several nieces, nephews, great-nieces, great-nephews and cousins. In addition to his parents and step-father, he was predeceased by three brothers, Kenneth (late Cindy) White, Howard (late Michael) White and Jeffrey (Nancy of Mississippi) White.
There will be no prior visitation. A private visitation and funeral service will be held. If desired, memorial offerings may be made to the Roswell Park Alliance Foundation, P.O. Box, 631, Buffalo, NY 14240. Arrangements have been entrusted to the OTTO REDANZ FUNERAL HOME, 2215 Military Road, Niagara Falls, NY (716-297-9007).
