Brenda Jean Greenwood

NIAGARA FALLS — Brenda Jean (Jean) Greenwood, longtime resident of Niagara County, passed away on       Friday, May 3, 2013, after a brief illness. She was 85. She was born in St. Thomas, Ontario, Canada on January 13, 1928, a daughter of the late Victor and Jessica (Wise) Pardey. She attended schools in St. Thomas and later worked as an operator for Bell Canada Telephone. She married Glenn C. Greenwood in 1950, and when they moved to the United States she worked in the office at Jenss Department Store in the Mil-Pine Plaza, and later the Summit Park Mall.

Mrs. Greenwood loved to knit, play shuffleboard and was a big fan of Bonanza, but most of all she enjoyed her time with her family, especially her grandchildren and great-grandchildren.

She is survived by her loving husband of 63 years, Glenn C. Greenwood; her daughter, Kathy (Michael) Boslet; son-in-law, Richard (late Brenda) Brodeur; two brothers, Donald (late Mary Lou) Pardey and Doug (Linda) Pardey; and sister-in-law, Mary (late Jack) Pardey; three grandchildren, six great-grandchildren and several nieces. She was predeceased by her daughter, Brenda (Richard) Brodeur; and siblings, Joyce (late Ed) Crocker, Bill (late Elaine) Pardey and Jack (Mary) Pardey.

There will be no prior visitation. A memorial service will be held on Thursday, May 9, at 2 PM at St. Paul's Episcopal Church, 400 Ridge Street, Lewiston, NY 14092, with Rev. Susan Keppy officiating. A reception will follow in the church hall. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in Mrs. Greenwood's name to Niagara Hospice House, 4675 Sunset Drive, Lockport, NY 14094.
