AMHERST — Steven E. Klemczyk, 67 years old, of Amherst, NY, passed away on Tuesday, September 11, 2012. He was born in Niagara Falls on July 3, 1945, the son of the late Adam and Emily (Godzisz) Klemczyk.

Steve attended Holy Trinity Parochial School, South Junior High School and Niagara Falls High School. He earned his Bachelor of Science Degree in Business Administration from the University of Buffalo and his Master's Degree from Canisius College. Steve was inducted into the United States Army on October 30, 1967 and was honorably discharged on October 29, 1969. He was awarded the Good Conduct Medal.

He was a financial analyst for 45 years and was President of SEK Corporation. He was a member of the Western New York Vietnam Veterans of America, WNY Chapter 77.Steve was active in Vietnam Era veterans rights. He enjoyed vacationing in Florida, playing tennis and golf and watching college hoops and baseball, especially the New York Yankees.

Steve is survived by his brother, Ronald Klemczyk of Niagara Falls. He is also survived by his aunt, Isabelle "Bella" Godzisz; and his cousins, Stephen (Janet) Godzisz and Leona Schaefer. Steve was predeceased by his sister, Aileen Klemczyk; and his brother, John Klemczyk.

Friends may call on Sunday from 2-6 PM at the LABUDA FUNERAL HOME, INC., 356 Portage Road. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Monday at 10:00 AM at Divine Mercy Parish, corner of Niagara and 24th Streets with Rev. Jacek P. Mazur officiating. PLEASE ASSEMBLE AT CHURCH. Interment with Military Honors in Holy Trinity Cemetery, Lewiston.
