Hannah M. "Regina" Rodgers

NIAGARA FALLS — Hannah M. "Regina" Rodgers, 87, passed away peacefully at home on Tuesday, January 28, 2014. Mrs. Rodgers was born in Stevenston, Scotland on Easter Sunday, April 11, 1926, the youngest child of William R. and Isabella (Wilson) McLean. On September 11, 1948, she married Robert C. "Bob" Rodgers in St. Andrew's Presbyterian Church, Niagara Falls, Canada. They were married 58 years when he passed away on March 30, 2006.

Mrs. Rodgers was the branch director of the LaSalle Library until her retirement in 1996. She was a member of Riverside Presbyterian Church, serving as a Deacon, and in the hand bell and Chancel choirs. Mrs. Rodgers enjoyed spending time with her grandchildren in Florida, with her daughters, and with her poodles, Hughie and Rosie.

Mrs. Rodgers was the beloved mother of  Barbara and Judy of Niagara Falls, and Margaret "Maggie" Garrett of Tampa, FL. She was the cherished grandmother of Emily (L.Cpl. Robert) Miller of Cherry Point, NC and Andrew Garrett of Tampa, FL. She is also survived by many cousins, nieces and nephews.

The family will receive friends on Thursday, January 30, 2014, from 5-8 PM at the LANE         FUNERAL HOME, 8622 Buffalo Ave. A memorial service to celebrate her life will be held on Friday, January 31, 2014, at 10:30 AM at Riverside Presbyterian Church, 815-84th Street, at Lindbergh Avenue. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in Hannah's honor to the Board of Deacons at Riverside Presbyterian Church, The Chiapas Mexico Medical Mission, c/o the Sisters of St. Francis, 4421 Lower River Road, Stella Niagara, NY 14144, or a charity one's choice.
