BUFFALO — Mary Ann Robinson, 75, passed from this life at Buffalo General Hospital, with her husband, Sam, at her side, October 14, 2013. She was born April 18, 1938 to Mildred and Gilbert Hayden in Floyd, VA. She came to Niagara Falls, NY, at age 6, with her parents and two sisters. She attended local schools and graduated from the University of Buffalo with an Education degree in Reading and Sociology.

Mary Ann grew up at Emmanuel Baptist Church where she baptized at a young age. After graduation from the University of Buffalo, she worked on her Master's and instructed Black   Literature classes for the UB's English department. She taught reading at Tract II's after school education program in the 1970s. She also instructed pastors and ministers in Biblical literature. She and her husband instructed Bible classes at the Niagara County Correctional Facility together.

Mary Ann loved to travel. She had been on several cruises, traveled across the United States to California, and took a trip to Africa. She was an avid reader of African American literature and loved to read her Bible, and as an ordained minister taught the Word of God at New Jerusalem and for Show Me The Way Ministries. Her heart was in the family ministry - she founded "Ministry of Reconciliation" where she shared the word on Wednesday during the Bible study with children, grandchildren, great-grandchildren and friends in the home. She enjoyed painting, crafts and art.

Left with her memories are her husband, Sam Robinson, Jr.; sister, Hazel Atkinson-Willis; sons, Pastor Timothy Sr. (Michele), Kevin, Calvin, Sam III (Ella) and Maurice Robinson; a host of grandchildren, great-grandchildren, nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by her sister, Wanda Gais; brother, Gilbert Hayden, Jr.; parents, Mildred and Gilbert Hayden.

Visitation will be at 11 AM and funeral at noon held Saturday, October 19, 2013, at the New Jerusalem Revival Center, 2723-20th Street, Niagara Falls; the host pastor, Dr. Samuel Rankin, co-pastor  of the Potter's House of Niagara Falls. Celestine Booze will give the eulogy. Burial, Riverdale. Arrangements by WILLIAMSON FUNERAL HOME, 635 Main Street.
