Darlene Freeney Lee

CHARLOTTE, NC —  

Darlene Freeney Lee, 56, of Charlotte, NC, passed away quietly on October 27, 2012 in Charlotte, NC. Born on February 1,1956 in Lewiston, NY, the daughter of the late Ceaser and Norvell (Bradley) Freeney of Niagara Falls, NY.
Darlene was a graduate of NFHS and was employed by the Niagara Falls Board as a Bus Driver and later retired from Occidental in Tonawanda, NY due to disability. She enjoyed traveling, decorating and entertaining family and friends.
In addition to her mother, she is survived by her husband, Duperzel Lee; daughters, LaShawn Maye, LaToya (Maurice) Peoples; three step-sons, Eton Lee, Bobby Lee and Edward Maye; one step-daughter, Teresa Lee; six sisters, Lula (James) Kirksey, Charlene (Harry) Thompson, Mary Nelson, Martha (Wilfredo) Borges, Anna (Mark) Cuningham and Annette Freeney; one brother, Augustus (Janie) Freeney; four grandchildren and a host of other relatives and friends.
Visitation on Saturday at 11 AM in the Mt. Erie Baptist Church, 1152 Fairfield. Funeral to follow at Noon. Burial at convenience of family. Arrangements by Williamson Funeral Home, 635 Main Street.
