NIAGARA FALLS —
Norma Elaine Minicucci, a longtime resident of Niagara Falls, died on Thursday, October 11, 2012 in Niagara Falls Memorial Medical Center. She was 80. Born in Niagara Falls on December 30, 1931, the daughter of William and Madeline (Hydock) Bloom. She attended area schools and was a graduate of Niagara Falls High School, Class of 1949.
Mrs. Minicucci was a loving and nurturing mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, aunt and sister. She will be deeply missed. She thoroughly enjoyed cooking, baking and the occasional shopping trip.
Survivors include three children, Cynthia (Gary) Sykes, Nancy Minicucci and Joseph (Angela) Minicucci, all of Niagara Falls; her brother, Eugene (Carol) Bloom of Watertown, MN; a sister, Joan Forese of Niagara Falls; grandchildren, Garrett Sykes, Shanna Sykes, Jennifer Custo, Joseph Minicucci and Christopher Minicucci; two great-grandchildren, Logan Hill and Bryson Pallone; her sister-in-law, Florence Bloom of GA; a niece, Nicole Calandra and several nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by her beloved husband, Albert J. Minicucci in 1997; a sister, Gail Bloom and a brother, William Bloom.
There will be no prior visitation. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated Monday 11 AM in St. John de LaSalle R.C. Church, 8477 Buffalo Avenue, Niagara Falls. The interment will be in Gate of Heaven Cemetery, Lewiston. Memorials, if desired, may be made to the Arthritis Foundation, 3300 Monroe Avenue, Suite 319, Rochester, NY 14618.
The family wishes to express their gratitude to Niagara Falls Memorial Medical Center's S-3 Unit for the care, kindness, love and dignity shown to their mother and family during this most difficult time.
