John C. Sparks

NIAGARA FALLS —

John C. Sparks, age 68, of Niagara Falls, formerly of North Tonawanda, December 10, 2013 at his home after a brief illness and under the care of Niagara Hospice. He was the son of the late Charles and Alice (nee Robertson) Sparks.
John was a U.S. Air Force Veteran. He had worked Bell Aircraft, Roblin Steel, Exelon and for the Transportation Safety Administration. He was a member of the American Legion Post #381. John was an avid pool shooter, golfer and was a Bills and Sabres fan.
Beloved husband of Patricia (Kahley) Sparks; dear father of Frank Sparks and April (Ralph) Sasso, both of North Tonawanda; stepfather of Kathleen (late Julian) Sojka, Lynn (Michael) Emmick, Terri Hans, and Tammy Wehrmeyer, all of Niagara Falls; grandfather of Jonathan, Rachel, Victoria, Olivia, Paul (Katie), Nicholas, Tyler, Joshua, Jacob, Samantha, and Zachary; brother of Inez Lorich, Rilla (Dwight) Salm and Brian (Kathy) Sparks; uncle of several nieces and nephews.
Friends may call at the Fretthold Funeral Home, Inc., 1241 Oliver St. at Ward Rd. in North Tonawanda on Friday from 1-3 PM and 6-8 PM. A Memorial Service will be held at the convenience of the family. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Niagara Hospice. Interment will be in White Chapel Memorial Park.
