Marian P. Tattersall

NIAGARA FALLS —

Marian P. Tattersall, of Niagara Falls, NY, passed away on Friday, March 1, 2013, in the Schoellkopf Heath Center. She was born in New York City, NY, on October 13, 1921, the daughter of the late Francis and Rose (Hughes) Phelan.
Mrs. Tattersall graduated from the Dominican Academy and from Hunter College with honors. She moved to Niagara Falls in the late 1940's. Mrs. Tattersall was a Grey Lady at Memorial Medical Center and was a member of the Tatler Club, St. Peter's Church and Niagara Falls Country Club. She enjoyed traveling and was proud of her Irish Heritage. Mrs. Tattersall was the wife of the late John H. Tattersall, who died in August of 2003. They were married on December 7, 1946, in St. Vincent Ferrer Church in New York City.
She is  survived by two sons, John (Katherine) Tattersall of North Tonawanda, NY and Charles (Diane) Tattersall of Niagara Falls, NY; a sister-in-law, Dorothy F. Phelan; also several cousins. Mrs. Tattersall was the sister of the late Francis Phelan.
Private funeral services will be held at the wishes of her family. Memorial may be made in her name to the Schoellkopf Park, 621 Tenth Street, Niagara Falls, NY, 14301. Entombment Gate of Heaven Cemetery, Lewiston, NY. Arrangements were made through the RHONEY FUNERAL HOME.
