PFC Johnnie Lee Yelton, Sr.

NIAGARA FALLS —  

PFC Johnnie Lee Yelton, Sr., 88, of Niagara Falls, NY, a retired WWII Veteran and retired Florida racetrack handler, passed away on February 27,2013 in Willow Lodge of Buffalo's Veterans Hospital.
Born June 30,1924 in Chapman, AL, he relocated to Niagara Falls in 1964, where he married his late wife, Anne Price, and together they were co-owners of Price's Rendezvous Lounge. John also was a dedicated LaSalle Cab driver.
He was the father of six children, Michelle Reese, Donnie Reese, Maria L. Reese, Michelle Yelton, Johnnie Lee Yelton, Jr. and the late Chonita Reese; devoted life-partner and dear friend of Tammy Gates. Also survived by a host of other relatives and friends.
Visitation on Tuesday at 11 AM in the WILLIAMSON FUNERAL HOME, 635 Main Street. Funeral to follow at Noon. Burial at the convenience of the family.
