Angelo F. Incorvia, 88, of Lewiston, NY, passed away on Thursday, May 16, 2013 with his devoted niece and angel, Elaine, by his side at Sisters of Charity Hospital in Buffalo, NY. Born in Niagara Falls, NY, he was the son of the late Leonardo and Maria (Farella) Incorvia.
Angelo was a lifelong resident of the Niagara Falls area and attended local schools. He served in the United States Army Air Force as a Corporal from 1945 until his honorable discharge in 1947 and was awarded the Army Occupation Medal and World war II Victory Medal. On June 4, 1954, he married Louise L. (LaPorta) Incorvia at St. Joseph's Church in Niagara Falls, NY. Mrs. Incorvia predeceased him on May 1, 2005. Angelo was employed at the Carborundum Company and also worked at the former Jenss Department Store both in Niagara Falls. He was a longtime member of the Upper Mountain Volunteer Fire Department in Lewiston, NY. In his leisure time, Angelo enjoyed gardening, cutting his lawn with his tractor, watching television and spending time with his beloved dog, Duke.
In addition to his wife and parents, Mr. Incorvia was predeceased by one sister, Margaret Incorvia. He is survived by his brother-in-law and sisters-in-law, Angelo (Joan) LaPorta, Anna (late John) McDonald and Nancy (Lou) DiNardo; as well as several nieces, nephews, great-nieces, great-nephews, great-great-nieces, great-great-nephews and cousins.
Visitation will be on Tuesday, May 21st from 9:30-11:30 AM at the M.J. COLUCCI & SON NIAGARA FUNERAL CHAPEL, 2730 Military Road, Niagara Falls, NY, where funeral services will begin at 11:30 AM, followed by a Mass of Christian Burial at 12 noon in St. Vincent DePaul Parish at St. Leo's Church, 2748 Military Road, Niagara Falls, NY with Rev. Robert Hughson officiating. Entombment with Military Honors will follow in Gate of Heaven Cemetery, Lewiston, NY. Memorial donations may be made to Upper Mountain Volunteer Fire Company, 839 Moyer Road, Lewiston, NY 14092.
