Nina Waldrup McClendon

NIAGARA FALLS — Nina Waldrup McClendon, 86, of Niagara Falls, passed away March 14, 2013, at her residence, surrounded by her loving family.

Born February 24, 1927 in Waverly, AL, the daughter of the late Edward and Janie          (Hutchinson) Waldrup. She was predeceased by her husband of 52 years, James McClendon, Sr.

For 25 years she worked for Healthcare Association and Foster Care. She was a longtime member of the Trinity Baptist Church where she served on the Usher Board and Order of Eastern Star.

Mrs. McClendon enjoyed making people laugh, wearing nice clothes and reading.

Surviving are two sons, James Jr. and Cornelius(Clarissa) McClendon; one grandson, two great-grandchildren; and a host of other  relatives and friends. Special mention to Evon Owens and Annie Jemeson who were helpers, admirers and always there for her.

Visitation, Thursday 11 AM in the Trinity Baptist Church, 1366 South Ave. Funeral to follow at Noon. Burial at the convenience of the family. Arrangements by WILLIAMSON FUNERAL HOME, 635 Main Street.
