NIAGARA FALLS —
Carmen Gasbarre, 67, passed away on June 21, 2014 in Lakeworth, FL, while under the care of Hospice and his loving family. Born in Niagara Falls, NY, he was the son of the late Joseph and Ruby Gasbarre. Predeceased by his wife, Bertha, in 2010.
Carmen graduated from Niagara Wheatfield High School in 1965. He served two tours of duty in Vietnam while with the Air Force. For many years he owned and managed income property. Later in life he owned a small farm in Georgia where he had many animals. His beloved cows rabbits, ponies and hens. He was an avid flea marketer which he enjoyed greatly. He was devoted to his late wife, Bertha; and her children and grandchildren.
Carmen is survived by four stepchildren, Teresa (David) Russell, Lisa (Richard) Bogatin, Joe (Katie) VanReeth and Michael VanReeth; ten grandchildren and two great-grandchildren; two brothers, Richard and James Gasbarre; and one sister, Suzanne Robins; cousin, Sam (Donna) Gasbarre; and many nieces, nephews, grandnieces and grandnephews. Predeceased by cousin, Steven Gasbarre; and uncle, Sam Gasbarre.
