Casmiera "Kay" Nowicki

GRAND ISLAND — Casmiera "Kay" (nee Grabiec) Nowicki, age 99, of Grand Island, entered into rest June 25, 2014.

Kay worked for the Grand Island School System as a cafeteria aide. Prior to that she and her late husband, Frank, operated a tavern in Riverside. Kay had four children, John Nowicki, Catherine (Robert) Shivinski, Judy (Michael) Martineck and James Nowicki. Kay is survived by her grandchildren, Stephen (Linda) Shivinsky, Laurie (John) Teglash, Karen and Robert (Kelly) Shivinsky, Michael (Sarah) and Christopher (Lisa) Martineck, and 12 great-grandchildren. Predeceased by four brothers and sisters.

Friends may call Sunday 3-7 PM at the Kaiser Funeral Home, 1950 Whitehaven Rd., Grand         Island. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated Monday at 10 AM, at St. Stephen's Church. (Please assemble at church.) In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Niagara      Hospice.
