Bruce Frederick Dent

GRAND ISLAND —

Bruce Frederick Dent, passed away, suddenly, on Sunday, December 1, 2013 at his home on Grand Island. He was the son of the late L. Bruce and Marian (Fribert) Dent.
Bruce will be sadly missed by his wife, Robin (Lineberger) Dent; daughter, Erin (Kevin Petz) Dent of Lakeland, FL; sisters, Lorraine (Joseph Halka) Gorman of Arlington Heights, IL and Christine (Henry) van Driel of Mississauga, Ontario, Canada; one aunt and many nieces, nephews and cousins in the Niagara area and beyond.
Bruce attended local schools and graduated from Niagara Catholic High School. He later earned his Bachelor's Degree in Business Administration from Niagara University. Bruce was employed as Vice President for HSBC, where he worked for over thirty years. Wildlife and the natural environment were passions of Bruce. He enjoyed camping with his family throughout the Eastern United States and Canada. Allegany State Park was his favorite destination.
There will be no prior visitation. A Celebration of Bruce's Life will be held on Thursday, December 5th beginning at 7:30 PM in the Chapel of OTTO REDANZ FUNERAL HOME, 2215 Military Road, Niagara Falls, NY (716-297-9007). In lieu of flowers, memorial offerings may be made to the Natural Heritage Trust, 2373 ASP RT #1, Site #3, Salamanca, NY 14779 or to the Buffalo Zoo, 300 Parkside Avenue, Buffalo, NY 14214-1999.
