Dorothy M. (Cushing) Dale, lifetime resident of Niagara Falls, passed away on February 24, 2013 in Medina Hospital, after a brief illness. She was born in Niagara Falls on March 24, 1927, a daughter of the late Kenneth and Estella (Messer) Cushing. Dorothy attended local schools, graduating from LaSalle High School in 1943.
Dorothy was a loving mother and grandmother whose warm and irreplaceable presence leaves an eternal mark in the hearts of everyone that knew her. From her co-workers at Nabisco Shredded Wheat, where she worked for 15 years before retiring, to her closest friends who remember Dorothy as a gracious host, consummate cook and patient listener, to her family whom she gave all her love and support to ensure their happiness.
Dorothy, predeceased by her husband of 30 years, Martin Dale (1981), is survived by her three children, Martin W. Dale of Niagara Falls, Robert P. Dale and Kristin J. Dale of Buffalo. She is also survived by her seven grandchildren, as well as the spirit of her actions that still looms heavily in the footprint of a long, fulfilled life.
