Richard Kiszewski

LOCKPORT — Richard Kiszewski, of the Town of Wheatfield, died on Monday, July 22, 2013 in Niagara Hospice House. He was born in Niagara Falls on June 24, 1933, the son of Stanley and Julia (Kuczwanski) Kiszewski. He attended local schools and was graduated from Bishop Duffy High School.

Richard was a self-employed general contractor, taking over his father's business in 1970, and  retired in 1998. He was an avid woodworker and enjoyed hunting.

He is survived by his wife of 58 years, Georgia (Steen) Kiszewski; two sons, Charles Kiszewski  (Janine) of North Tonawanda; Joseph Kiszewski (Wendy) of the Town of Wheatfield; a granddaughter, Courtney Ann Kiszewski of Schenectady, NY; several nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by his daughter, Deborah Graff; his twin sister, Rita Rogers and a brother, Robert Kiszewski.

Friends may call Thursday from 2-4, 7-9 PM in the LANE FUNERAL HOME, INC., 8622 Buffalo Avenue, where prayers will be said Friday 9:30 AM, followed by a Mass of Christian Burial at 10 AM in St. Vincent de Paul Parish at Prince of Peace. The interment will be in Gate of Heaven Cemetery, Lewiston. Memorials, if desired, may be made to Niagara Hospice, Inc., 4675 Sunset Drive, Lockport, NY 14094.
