William "Bill" L. Stogner

ORMOND BEACH, FL — William "Bill" L. Stogner passed peacefully at home the morning of July 19, 2013, after a      courageous battle with cancer.

He was born on October 24, 1957 in Las Vegas, NV to James Stogner and Mary Louise (Bierly) Alberts.

He grew up in Niagara Falls, NY and attended Stella Niagara Military Cadet School, Bishop Duffy High School and Niagara University. He moved to Ormond Beach, FL in 1982 to pursue his pharmaceutical career with Ellis Pharmaceuticals, where he met his mentor and friend, Frederick F. Ellis.

In 1992 Bill became a founding stockholder and Vice President of Expert-Med, Inc. He currently served as Director, Vice-President & Treasurer of the Hunter's Ridge Homeowners Association, as well as Director & Vice-President of the Winding Woods Homeowners Association.

In 1984, Bill met the love of his life, Jennifer; they recently celebrated their 28th wedding    anniversary. They enjoyed ballroom dancing, traveling and their precious Bichon Frise, Bella Bianca. He loved spending time with his family and friends, entertaining, Nascar racing and  playing the stock market.

Bill was the most giving and caring husband, son/son-in-law, husband, father, grandfather "Opa" and friend.

In addition to his loving wife, Jennifer Pruitt Stogner, Bill is survived by his daughter, Dana Deanna (Stogner) Hollingsworth, son-in-law, Patrick Hollingsworth; three grandchildren, Gabriela, Dominic and Mia Hollingsworth; his mother, Mary Louise (Bierly) Alberts and            stepfather, Bill Alberts (Lewiston, NY); his mother-in-law, Nancy Rogers; grandmother-in-law, Mariam Smith; niece, Shelley Keech and her husband, Micah Keech.

Funeral services will be conducted at 12:00 PM Tuesday, July 23, 2013, at First United Methodist Church of Ormond Beach, 336 S. Halifax Dr., Ormond Beach, FL 32176. Entombment will follow in Volusia Memorial Park, 550 N. Nova Rd., Ormond Beach, FL. The family will receive friends from 6:00-8:00 PM Monday, July 22, 2013, at Volusia Memorial Funeral Home. Arrangements are under the care and trust of Volusia Memorial Funeral Home, 548 N. Nova Rd., Ormond Beach, FL.
