Lidia Frisoni


Lidia (DiGregorio) Frisoni, 92, of Niagara Falls, NY, passed away on Friday, May 10, 2013 at Niagara Hospice House, Lockport, NY with her daughter at her side. Born in Niagara Falls, NY, she was the daughter of the late Cesidio and Colomba (Caruso) DiGregorio.
Lidia attended local schools and graduated from Niagara Falls High School. On November 10, 1945 she married John J. Frisoni at St. Joseph Church, Niagara Falls, NY. Following their marriage, they co-owned and operated Mario's Novelty Store on Pine Avenue until the 1980s. Mr. Frisoni predeceased her on May 13, 2001.
Lidia is survived by one daughter, Roberta "Bobbie" Frisoni of Youngstown, NY; a sister, Flora (late John) Cortese of Niagara Falls, NY; nieces and nephews; grandsons, Scott Stevenson, Eric Stevenson, Ryan Stevenson, Jim Lichtenthal and Josh Lichtenthal.  Lidia is also survived by her special family, Claire and John Cieslewicz, Josephine "Nonni" Tulimieri, Linda and Mike Lichtenthal, and Sue Stevenson; and her loving "GrandLabs", Sky, Tanner and Jake. In addition to her parents and husband, she was predeceased by a brother, Mario F. (Lucille of Niagara Falls, NY) DiGregorio.
There will be no prior visitation. Family and friends are invited to attend a Mass of Christian Burial on Monday, May 13th at 11 AM at Holy Family of Jesus, Mary and Joseph Parish at Our Lady of Mt. Carmel Church, 27th Street and Independence Avenue, Niagara Falls, NY with Rev. Duane Klizek officiating. EVERYONE PLEASE ASSEMBLE AT CHURCH. Burial will follow in St. Joseph Cemetery, Niagara Falls, NY. Memorial donations may be made to Niagara Hospice, 4675 Sunset Drive, Lockport, NY 14094  or  "Spay the Strays" c/o  Gerber Small Animal Hospital, 3316 Military Road, Niagara Falls, NY 14304.
